12 And Joseph took them away from his knees, and did reverence [a]down to the ground.

13 Then took Joseph them both, Ephraim in his right hand toward Israel’s left hand, and Manasseh in his left hand toward Israel’s right hand, so he brought them unto him.

14 But Israel stretched out his right hand, and laid it on [b]Ephraim’s head which was the younger, and his left hand upon Manasseh’s head (directing his hands of purpose) for Manasseh was the elder.
